Miss Jason

Jason Sutton

Drag Artiste

Isle of Wight Pride Patron and a favourite here on our lovely island. We are over the moon to welcome back Miss Jason to the beautiful Ryde Sands.

Miss Jason was amazing at getting the crowds going on the beach last year. From the moment she steeped off the Hovercraft and on to that beach she had the crowds cheering, laughing and singing along, and this year will be no different! You can expect high camp, comedy and and an amazing vocal performance!

About Jason Sutton:

Jason is probably best known as his drag persona Miss Jason,
He has been entertaining audiences across the country for many years.

Aside from his cabaret work, last year Jason appeared in his first family pantomime with PHA Associates in Redhill as Dame Trott in Jack and the Beanstalk, playing alongside Paul Daniels and the lovely Debbie McGee. This year Jason is appearing at The Playhouse in Weston-super-Mare as Widow Twanky in Aladdin.

Twinkle

More recently Jason has taken a dramatic departure from his fabulous guise as one of Brighton and London’s leading lights on the cabaret circuit to play the tragi-comic figure of Harold Thropp. Harold, a veteran pantomime dame, reflects on his life in the blaze of the footlights, which has dimmed over the years as the world’s recognition of star quality has turned on its head. Harold’s woes at being given a dressing room in the basement spark a chain of incredible memories and events that will ensure Harold is never forgotten.

Written and directed by Philip Meeks (writer for Doctors, Emmerdale and Heartbeat); Twinkle, Little Star promises to make audiences cry with laughter and shed some tears of sadness as Harold’s hilarious anecdotes and bitchy one-liners unmask a dame in her descent with one last punchline to deliver.

TV Credits

His TV credits include BBC One’s The Weakest Link (drag queen special), Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me,
BBC One’s Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, Miss Jason’s House Party and Sky1’s Chocky-Wocky-Do-Dah.

Jason has also been part of the Brian Ralph Alternative pantomines at the Pavilion Theatre, Brighton for the last 10 years

Jason’s charity work is varied and well documented, especially his connection to Thais For Life, an independent charity based in Thailand dedicated to assisting Thais with medical and special needs. Jason strives to assist the Bang-Gin-Ji orphanage in Pattaya, giving the children there a better quality of life.
